| see an improvement in horsepower somewhere around 30-40 at best to the wheel around the 400RWHP level. The biggest bottleneck with the stock turbos is more the turbine section than it is the compressor section. You can offset the compressor's efficiency with good intercooling; water injection would help even more - but the turbine section is so small that moving that much air becomes incredibly difficult for the engine to push out during the exhaust stroke. Clipping the turbine wheels would resolve this with very little detriment to spoolup. FWIW, I am planning to do this on my turbochargers after I get my initial dyno results. #1 reason why I build my manifolds such that I can change turbos without removing the engine. =)
